KATHLEEN: Champagne theft from Publix

The Polk County Sheriff's Office is investigating a retail theft which occurred at the Publix store at 7340 Kathleen Road in Lakeland on Friday, July 16th.
The suspect arrived in a gray Kia Soul, carrying a backpack.
He loaded up his backpack with five bottles of Clicquot Brut champagne, three bottles of Luc Belair Rare Champagne, three bottles of Veuve Cliequat Brut champagne, and a reusable insulated bag.
One might think he had something big to celebrate, but this same suspect is believed to have carried out similar thefts from other Publix locations, so maybe he's just REALLY likes champagne.

On Friday, May 9th, at around 2 am, PCSO deputy Jose Rivera saw a west Lakeland home on fire. He entered the home, and assisted a women out of the residence. Rivera went back inside and assisted a man who was sleeping on a couch.

A series of burglaries occurred on a residential construction site in Davenport on May 5th, then again on May 13th.
